Harry & April Yuan
Harry and April Yuan never set a goal to become members of the Million-Dollar Club. In fact, their goals have never been centered on titles or income or trips or rewards.
“Our goal,” states April, “is to help other people experience the same life changes that we have. Making money is not the purpose of what we do, but it does end up being the result.”
The three-step business model the Yuans have followed to achieve their amazing success is simple, says Harry, who takes the lead on business training for the pair. “First, we focus on educating our team members so they feel confident in ASEA products. Once they have built up that confidence, we help them ‘find their ace.’ And finally, we focus on business training.”
The simplicity of their business model is key, adds April. “From beginning to end, we’ve worked hard to keep the process easy, simple, and duplicable so that anyone can do it,” she says.
April oversees the educational piece of their business, and she estimates that the two spend 50 percent of their time educating team members about the science behind ASEA. “We hold live meetings twice a week in most of our offices around the world,” she explains. “And we do at least one webinar a week.” In fact, in one of their offices, they hold daily meetings, and team leaders are always welcome to drop in with new referrals and consumers.
This focus on education is what has led to the couple’s consistent success. “ASEA products are based on solid science,” says Harry, who often shares his own story of overcoming a health challenge that neither he nor his doctors believed could be resolved. “Whether we’re working with new referrals or long-time team members, we always focus on the science first.” April points out that not everyone can be an expert or do a presentation about the science behind ASEA products. “But everyone can open their mouths and share their stories,” she says. “So that’s what we talk about during the education meetings—the importance of sharing stories and then inviting people to meetings where they can learn more about the science from those who are experts.”
“Each of our team members has different people in their groups, and each of those people is like a single card in a deck…”
Finding the “aces” comes next, says Harry, who uses the analogy of a deck of cards to explain how they grow an organization. “Each of our team members has different people in their groups, and each of those people is like a single card in a deck,” he explains. “When you look at the back of the cards, each card looks the same, but when you flip the cards over, you’ll find aces and kings and queens, along with some lower numbers. Aces are the business partners, the people who are sharing stories and who have referrals. Everyone has aces in their deck, and I am committed to work with our team members to help them find their aces.
“Once we’ve found an ace,” he continues, “I work with their upline to train them 100 percent on the business side of things. I have developed a strong background on the business, and I share what I’ve learned about using the reports and back office tools that ASEA has made available to us. I show them how they achieve their next rank and what they need to do to claim their income. We also talk about the importance of self-motivation and mindset, and then I walk these leaders through how to become coaches themselves.”
An expert business trainer, Harry is passionate about sharing what he has learned with others. In fact, he promises anyone in his organization—regardless of where they are in the world—that if they can gather a group of at least 20 people together, he will come and provide personal Million-Dollar Club training. Many of their team members have taken Harry up on his promise, and the Yuans have traveled around the world, educating and training their 10,000-member organization. And while this invaluable business training is definitely essential to their success, it is the last step for the Yuans because of their deep conviction that the science and products are at the heart of what makes ASEA distinctive.
“We’ve seen business builders come to ASEA because they see the amazing success that associates are experiencing, and they want to be part of that,” April notes. “But when they concentrate on the business, they miss the most important thing ASEA has to offer. We’re not selling ASEA; we’re sharing the science, the products, and our stories. The confidence we have in the products is what influences people to try ASEA, and then they experience for themselves what ASEA is truly about.”
And that is what drives the Yuans to continue their upward climb among ASEA leaders. “We do enjoy amazing financial stability and residual income,” Harry acknowledges. “And we are grateful for that. But we aren’t motivated by it. We are motivated by the results that our team members are experiencing. This is the beautiful part of what we are able to do through ASEA. This is our purpose, and nothing can stop us.”
