With the release of ASEA® VIA™ Source™, we asked Dr. Robertson Ward to share insight on just how this amazing nutritional supplement interfaces with ASEA REDOX for ultimate efficacy and optimum cellular health.
Q: So many people have benefited from ASEA REDOX and the good things it does for the body. Is there still a need for supplementation?
A: Absolutely. We need macronutrients that we get from food as well as micronutrients. The trouble is, we don’t always have access to high-quality nutrients, and trace elements are not really found in as much abundance in our food anymore. You’ve got to have a ready resource of micronutrients, like in VIA Source, along with the macronutrients that are in food.
Q: What makes VIA Source a superior supplement?
A: Bioavailability is key. Because VIA Source is made from whole foods from natural sources, the vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and enzymes are friendlier to the body in terms of assimilation.
Q: With the latest research, we now know that ASEA REDOX can affect gene expression. Does nutrition contribute to that?
A: Yes. We’re constantly recycling ourselves. There’s not one atom in your body that was there three years ago. It matters what we put into our bodies! Because ASEA REDOX affects several proteins that code for the ability to make digestive enzymes, we can better assimilate the pure and natural nutrients we have in ASEA VIA Source.
Q: So, ASEA REDOX lays the groundwork for nutrient absorption?
A: That’s right. Redox chemistry affects all the factors that help micronutrients travel across the cell membrane. There are mechanics to getting a micronutrient into a cell. Think of it as a revolving door in a department store—a series of little revolving doors. The motor of the revolving door depends on redox signaling molecules to run. If the doors don’t revolve, micronutrients can’t get in. So when you’re drinking ASEA REDOX and taking VIA Source, you’ve got these wonderful building blocks of micronutrients being able to get in. In addition to just getting the nutrients in, the cells have proper signaling to use these micronutrients in a proper manner.
